As temperatures drop across much of the country, people who's exercise routines involve the great outdoors have become even more challenging. According to a report by NBC News, cold temperatures force muscles to work harder to complete the same tasks that are much easier in warmer weather. The Cooper Heart Institute says that the cold constricts arteries, slowing blood flow to the heart, which required more oxygen to keep your body warm.
