According to a report by Reuters, U.S. energy regulators rejected Williams Cos Inc's request to overturn New York's denial of a water permit for the company's proposed Constitution natural gas pipeline intended to run from Pennsylvania to New York. In a statement, Williams said that it was disappointed with the US Federal Energy Regulatory Commission's decision and said that ti would seek a rehearing and perhaps even an appeal of the decision. The 125-mile-long pipeline would transport up to 0.65 billion cubic feet per day of shale gas from Pennsylvania to New York.
