Credit Card Companies Agree To End Receipt Signing Practice

According to reports, major credit card companies will no longer require a signature on a receipt for in-store purchases.
The announcement was made after Visa agreed to make the practice optional by April, 2018.
MasterCard, Discover, and American Express already decided to introduce similar plans last year.
The companies have decided to end the practice due to the increased volume of online sales, and new technology, such as the EMV chips found in newer credit cards.
