Microsoft Halts Patches To Guard Against Meltdown And Spectre

On Tuesday, Microsoft Corp suspended patches to guard against Meltdown and Spectre security threats for some computers running AMD chipsets following complaints by AMD users that the software updates froze their devices. AMD said in a statement that the issues appear to affect older generations of its chips, however a spokesman declined to detail the range of AMD processors affected.
