Dalit leader and Gujarat MLA Jignesh Mevani was prevented from holding a rally in the national capital on Tuesday after Delhi police denied permission for the event. After Mevani’s Yuva Hunkar Rally was stopped, he accused the government of targeting the youth to speak democratically and peacefully on issues like social justice, employment to youth and are not allowed to speak for their rights. Terming it as ‘murder of democracy’, he questioned why Bhim army leader Chandrashekhar was jailed and also accused the government of torturing them.
