Shami got India another wicket, this time dismissing Rabada for 4 runs. Indian skipper Virat Kohli who was on 2nd slip jumped to 1st slip and took the catch. Shami dismissed Hashim Amla for 4 runs thanks to a stunning catch by Rohit Sharma. Incessant rain all through the day forced the umpires to call off third day's play without a ball being bowled in the opening Test between India and South Africa on Sunday. Earlier, rain washed out the first two sessions at Newlands Stadium in Cape Town and later the 'supper soppers' too were reported to be damaged, forcing the officials to call off the day's play.
