C’est surtout au Royaume-Uni qu’il est populaire, pays où ce type de voix est très apprécié (comme celle de Damien Rice par exemple). Mais des titres comme Sail Away, Babylon, ou Please Forgive Me (dont il est existe une version remixée avec succès par Orbital), ont eu un rayonnement plus important.
