Blue moon total lunar eclipse to light up night sky on Jan. 31

SKY AT NIGHT — Earth will witness its first blue moon total lunar eclipse in over a century at the end of January, 2018.
According to Space.com, east and central Asian countries in central, along with Indonesia, New Zealand and much of Australia, will get a quality view of the celestial event. Hawaii, Alaska and northwest Canada will also be able to witness it.
The last blue moon total lunar eclipse took place on March 31, 1866, reported Space.com, citing reference book Canon of Lunar Eclipses.
