Rescuers Save Cold-Stunned Sea Turtles in Florida

Officials from Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission have rescued more than 100 sea turtles stunned by the cold as temperatures dipped to 40 degrees Fahrenheit on Thursday, January 4.The stunned turtles, which were left floating or washed ashore, were taken to the Gulf World Marine Institute, where they were placed in warm water, checked over, and will be released back into the Gulf of Mexico when temperatures rise.This videos shows Florida Fish and Wildlife officials netting cold-stunned turtles off the Gulf Coast.
