Sarah Sanders Says Breitbart Should 'Consider' Parting Ways With Bannon

Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Thursday suggested that Breitbart should "consider" parting ways with Steve Bannon.
White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders suggested on Thursday that Breitbart rethink Steve Bannon's position as executive chairman.
At the day's briefing, Sanders was reminded of her insistence that an ESPN sportscaster be fired for making negative comments about Trump, then asked if Breitbart should "part ways" with Bannon due to his recently revealed remarks.
"I certainly think that it's something they should look at and consider," she replied.
Shortly after, the Wall Street Journal reported that Breitbart is, indeed, considering breaking ties with Bannon.
It also states two sources familiar with the situation say that board members and longtime Bannon benefactors "Robert Mercer and his daughter Rebekah Mercer, are actively distancing from him even before the expected release of Michael Wolff's book 'Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House.'"
Excerpts of that book were published by The Guardian on Wednesday.
They include Bannon reportedly calling the June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with Russians "treasonous" and "unpatriotic," and predicting that the Russia investigation will not end well for either Donald Trump Jr. or Jared Kushner.
Bannon reportedly said that "they're going to roll those two guys up and say play me or trade me," and, "they're going to crack Don Junior like an egg on national TV."
Trump was quick to respond, releasing a statement that said, in part, "Steve Bannon has nothing to do with me or my Presidency. When he was fired, he not only lost his job, he lost his mind."
