Gene Wilder's Widow Says His Alzheimer's Battle Almost 'Killed' Her Too

Karen Wilder the wife of the late Gene Wilder spoke out about Alzheimer’s disease, the diagnosis which took her husband and she says “could have killed” her too. The two were married for 35 years and she cared for him while he lived with the debilitating disease for six years. Karen who married Wilder in 1991, wanted to bring attention to how much the disease takes a toll on the sick person’s loved ones.
