Military Helicopter Crash Lands in Eastern Bangladesh

A helicopter carrying Kuwait’s military chief of staff and his delegation crashed during a landing attempt in Srimangal, northern Bangaldesh, on January 3.According to the Dhaka Tribune, the crash occurred at 10:18 am inside the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) camp in Sreemangal. The helicopter was carrying more than a dozen passengers, including two senior members of a Kuwait Armed Forces delegation.According to a report from Kuwait’s state media agency, all passengers were reported safe after the incident. The crash was believed to have been due to foggy weather conditions, leading to low visibility, as the pilot attempted to land.A residential medical officer confirmed that four people were brought to a nearby hospital to be treated for their injuries.
