Over 100 BMC officials and engineers could most probably face an enquiry and action for permitting illegal alterations & encroachments. The action follows the fire at Trade House building in Kamala Mills compound. The dereliction of duty has come to the attention post the BMC found violation of rules in over 600 establishments in Mumbai. The municipal corporation on Sunday sealed 30 restaurants in the Mumbai's 24 wards, a day after demolishing illegal structures at 314 eateries and sealing seven of them.The demolition drive was carried out after 14 people died in a massive fire on Friday at restaurants in Kamala Mills in Lower Parel.
