According to director Joe Russo, Thanos's motivations in the Russo Brothers highly-anticipated 2018 superhero film, Avengers: Infinity War, are described as being psychotic and compelling. Thanos, created by comic book legend Jim Starlin, is arguably the Avengers’ greatest foe. In a recent interview with the YouTube channel Marvel Studios Movies, Joe Russo explained, "I’m most excited for the audience to learn about [Thanos]. I think he’s a very interesting and complex villain.
