Dhawan's family was made to wait in Dubai airport and was not allowed to board for South Africa as the family did not carried children birth certificate. After this a Pakistani journalist Zainab Abbas tweeted and told Shikhar the rules of airlines. On this Shikhar Dhawan reacted and answered to Pakistani journalist in a very practical way. टीम इंडिया के खिलाड़ी शिखर धवन के परिवार को बीते दिनों दुबई एयरपोर्ट में रोक दिया गया. जिसकी वजह थी, धवन के परिवार के साथ बच्चों का बर्थ सर्टिफिकेट ना होना. दरअसल टीम के खिलाड़ियों के साथ अपने परिवार को दक्षिण अफ्रीका ले जानें के दौरान धवन के परिवार के साथ बदसलूकी हुई जिसका ज़िक्र धवन ने सोशल मीडिया पर किया. धवन को जवाब देते हुए पाकिस्तानी पत्रकार ने धवन को एयरलाइन्स के नियम समझाए, जिसके जवाब में धवन ने ये कहा.
