Trump: I Know 'The Big Bills' In Congress More Than 'Any President That's Ever Been In Office'

President Trump on Thursday pushed back on the suggestion that he doesn't know the details of the recently passed GOP tax bill.

President Trump recently asserted that he is more knowledgeable about major legislative efforts than any of his predecessors.
He said in a Thursday interview with the New York Times that when it comes to "the big bills" that see a great deal of Congressional debate, he knows more "than any president that's ever been in office."
Trump also challenged assertions that he has very little information about legislation specifics.
"I know the details of taxes better than anybody. Better than the greatest C.P.A. I know the details of health care better than most, better than most," he commented.
It has been pointed out that many of his remarks about the recent tax bill do not suggest a deep familiarity with the subject matter.
Claims proven false include it being the largest tax cut in U.S. history and that the repeal of the Obamacare mandate essentially repeals the health care law.
According to CNN, Ronald Reagan and John F. Kennedy signed bills that resulted in more significant tax decreases.
It also clarifies that the end of the Obamacare mandate does not affect the many other aspects of the law or render it defunded.
