China's Top Smartphone Company Sales Chief Detained

Huawei Technologies is the world’s third-largest smartphone maker. After the China sales head of its smartphone unit was detained on suspicion of accepting bribes, on Wednesday the company said that Chinese police are conducting an investigation.
Huawei in recent years has overtaken Apple Inc and others to take the top share of China’s smartphone market. It's now under pressure, though, from fast-growing domestic rivals. The company declined to disclose details of the case.
