Officers with Milwaukee Police Department’s District Four division witnessed a vehicle crash on Tuesday, December 26, then quickly sprang to action to save the occupants when the vehicle burst into flames.According to the police, Officers Nicholas Schlei and Nicholas Reid were on patrol on the city’s northwest side when they saw the vehicle lose control, strike a utility pole and catch fire. The officers quickly pulled the driver, a 16-year-old boy, and another teenager from the vehicle. A third passenger had already escaped from the vehicle.The passengers were taken to a local hospital for treatment and the driver was cited for failure to yield and reckless driving.
