United Airlines has apologized to a traveler who accused the airline to giving her seat to a House Representative. The airline gave the passenger a $500 travel voucher as part of their apology. Jean-Marie Simon claimed that United gave her first-class seat to Representative Sheila Jackson Lee on December 18th. Simon added that she was given a seat in Economy Plus on the flight. But a United spokeswoman stated their internal system shows that the passenger canceled her seat after a weather delay.
