Miss America Loses TV Partnership After Reports the CEO Fat-Shamed Contestants Dick Clark Productions, the company who helps broadcast the competition, also pulled its two board members. On Thursday, the Huffington Post revealed Miss America CEO Sam Haskell berated contestants through internal emails. Haskell mocked the appearance of some of the winners by fat-shaming them, while also questioning their intelligence and their sex lives. "We were appalled by their unacceptable content and insisted, in the strongest possible terms, that the Miss America Organization board of directors conduct a comprehensive investigation and take appropriate action to address the situation.”
