House Gives Final Approval To Tax Bill

A sweeping $1.5 trillion tax bill has received final approval from the Republican-controlled U.S. House of Representatives. Now the bill, which is the biggest overhaul of the U.S. tax code in 30 years, goes to the desk of President Donald Trump for his signature. Republicans are touting this as Trump’s first major legislative victory. The bill will cut taxes for corporations and the wealthy while giving mixed, temporary tax relief to middle-class Americans.
