The Yamaha R1 has been around for a while now, until recently, Yamaha wanted to update the motorcycle. Along with the update, Yamaha introduced some of its MotoGP tech for street use, and the result is the Yamaha YZF-R1M. The YZF-R1M features electronic semi-active Öhlins suspension, carbon fibre bodywork, Yamaha’s Communication Control Unit (CCU), Y-TRAC data logging system, and stickier Bridgestone tyres, that differentiate the motorcycle from the standard version. Power is derived from a 998cc, in-line four-cylinder engine that produces 197bhp and 112Nm of torque.
