China unveils plan to decrease climate change emissions

China is launching an ambitious initiative to reduce carbon. The country's government approved its plans for a carbon trading system. The scheme will cover the power generation and heat industries. The plan is expected to last for at least 12 months before being fully implemented in 2019. The government has yet to reveal how the trading system will work.
