Volkl have long had reputation for making some of the most advanced skis in the industry, and the VTA 88 and i’s brother on a diet the VTA 88 LITE are yet more evidence in support of their attention to detail. Both skis are dedicated to touring and therefore dedicated to being lightweight with the VTA coming in at 1,230 grams and the LITE being an astonishing 1 020 grams at 170cm in length. The VTA is built on the time-tested Powershell Light construction which comes from their V-WERKS laboratory, but the VTA 88 LITE is built on a new construction. Called the 3D Ridge and built entirely from carbon, this is a new standard in lightweight performance. Built with the new Kingpin touring binding in mind, this is one touring set up that you wouldn’t have to ask us twice about getting on.
