TheCASH is a jam band formed in Summer 2013 in Tokyo, Japan. The self-described "singing progressive bluegrass-band with J-POP flavor" was founded by mandolinist Inoue Taro, singer-songwriter hinaco, and bassist Segawa Shinji.
Inoue Taro, a.k.a. "That Japanese Dude" of the duo Taro &Jordan with Jordan McConnell from the Duhks, grew up in a musical family where he started learning flat mandolin at age fourteen. He has worked with famous performers such as Petty Booka, Humbert Humbert, John Cowan, Asylum Street Spankers, Stanley Smith, David Bromberg, and Jim Kweskin Jug Band, just to name a few.
