Belafonte, a pop-twist (pop with a twist) musical collective, open to anyone, led by its founder Páid Sadlier and inspired heavily by various concepts from Qotsa's 'Desert Sessions' and Wes Anderson's 'The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou', set sail 2 and a half yrs ago. Docking first in Glaway's Roisin Dubh Open Mic port she garnered her goods and headed off once again to various venues around the country. After recording and distributing her first self-titled ep, by the will of the sea Belafonte and her copious crew was taken in for some rest, research and refurbishment. Now taking some test runs, she is preparing her next vernal voyage. So come one come all ye cosmic seafaring, Jah-fearing folk and pay your dues on the Belafonte; where all adventure is far from placid seas.
