Richard Kapp is a piano man from Vienna, Austria and loves to write quirky chamber pop songs in which he observes daily life in his very own sarcastic way. He loves to perform these ditties with his chamber pop ensemble "The Gowns". A many of many influences, Richard’s music often reminds people of artists like The Divine Comedy, Rufus Wainwright, Billy Joel or Sufjan Stevens. Richard recently released his fourth album, AMOK. It was voted #1 out of 100 albums by the online radio The Next Big Thing, received airplay on BBC 6 Music and was recommended on Bella Union boss Simon Raymonde’s Amazing Radio show. Richard Kapp & The Gowns have toured extensively in their native Austria as well performing in Germany and the UK. They’ve shared a stage with artists like Matt Keating (US), Bitter Ruin (UK), David Kitt (IRL) and many others.
