Straight out of Los Angeles comes "Love Heroes", an intoxicating pop noir story dedicated to seven iconic couples - and everyone wild at heart - with production from Justin Warfield of She Wants Revenge, Simon Katz of Youngblood Hawke, Grammy award winner Danja and Alex Kickdrums.
Two years after the praised "Crime Novela” EP, Rocky and Mowgli are back with a new band name and sound.
The 7 songs on “Love Heroes” are founded on the darker side of love and lust and will leave the listener feeling high on music, love, sex and the energy created when the kindred spirits of the critically acclaimed recording artists Mowgli and Rocky collide.
"On the surface, it might seem like we're singing about happy sunshine, drinking champagne, and chilling, but inside there's this intensity, this wild-at-heart nature, and a hidden vulnerability that comes from losing yourself in something or someone. We are inspired by the places we go, the things we see, and the people we meet; Life," says Rocky, who grew up in the San Fernando Valley, California.
BAD LANDS have evolved from their disco-infused pop sounds of "Crime Novela" where break-out track "Control," received considerable radio play from BBC stations in the United Kingdom and earned the band a place on MTV’s most "Buzzworthy" bands of 2012 list. The group created quite the groundswell of fan adoration and media attention through their debut EP, provocative videos, and memorable performances all over the globe, including tours of England and Germany, SXSW in Austin, Fashion Week in NYC, and the Cardiff Festival in Wales.
Unsigned and independently run, BAD LANDS take on adventure with open arms. They are nomadic gypsies and ready to spread the Love Hero notion any time and any place.
