With God Bless Relative, Atlanta’s Blake Tallent shines a new light on the tried-and-true elements of indie folk pop.
Born from a life altering experience while Tallent was living in Australia, the band’s debut EP, The Bay of Gordon | The South, chronicles a nomadic transition from New South Wales back to life on the Florida / Georgia line -- a cathartic experience for the artist and listener alike.
Says Tallent, on the impetus of the record, “The songs of the debut EP were devised from the process of learning to live in a separate culture and the uncomfortable decision to come back to my small hometown in the South."
