Il Povero Diavolo nasce e cresce nei locali e nelle strade di Trento e Torino (dove ben presto ottiene anche una menzione al Premio Fred Buscaglione 2012 nella sezione "I postumi di Fred"). Diventa un duo con l'aggiunta di rullanti e tamburi affinando negli anni un sound folk-rock di influenza americana ma mantenendo la scrittura in italiano. L'attività prosegue in studio, con la registrazione di due demo, e sul palco di locali e festival in Trentino, con incursioni a Cittadella, alla Festa della Libertà di Zocca (MO), a Zurigo nel mitico locale El Lokal, e, naturalmente, a Torino. "Canzoni di città che spariscono in montagna" disse qualcuno una volta, affrettandosi ad aggiungere: "... e viceversa". Canzoni da strada e da divano, canzoni originali, tradotte (quattro versioni italiane di brani di Bob Dylan), cammuffate, dimenticate, storpiate, ritrovate. un po' blues, un po' folk, un po' rock, un po' roll, il tutto servito in lingua italiana ed accompagnato da un bicchiere mezzo pieno e mezzo da riempire.
