Distinto is a song-writing rock band, with a deep pop inspiration, born on 2011 from Daniela D’angelo, singer and songwriter and Daniele Ferrazzi, guitarist. The full band line-up includes Ivano Rossetti (bassguitar) and Fabio China Giussani (drums).
In 2013 the band released the first studio album, In Genere, with ten live recorded songs, recounting the stream of the mutable existence. The word Distinto means not perfect and the album In Genere aims to reproduce life, especially with the live experience, which is never the same, time by time. The recording includes voice, acoustic and electric guitar only, with no
overdubs.
In 2014 Distinto released Le Stanze EP, with four songs, enriched by bass and drums sessions. Also for this work, Distinto want to represent the long trip of becoming.
After these two albums, the band made more than a 50 gigs live tour, through the whole of Italy.
The latest album C’est la Vie, out for the label Cane Nero Dischi on November 2016, includes the collaboration with Vito Gatto (art direction and electronics) and Mamo IoDrums (drums). Recorded at Wasabi Studio in Milan, the album contains ten songs, still live recorded – this time with the full band - and enhanced with electronic inputs by Vito Gatto.
The creation of the album has been guided by Amdusias, the spirit-unicorn who unveils the deep music secrets. The title C’est la Vie is almost a mantra, an answer we use to tell ourselves when we are forced to live inexplicable moments happening in life.
Before the beginning of promotional live tour (still ongoing), Distinto played an acoustic preview of the entire album during five house concerts, through the north of Italy, with a selected audience.
