I Big Mountain County suonano psych rock sporco e selvaggio. La band si forma a Roma nel 2012. Nell’estate 2013 registrano il loro primo 7 pollici, uscito ad Ottobre e totalmente autoprodotto. Tra Novembre 2013 e Maggio 2014 sono in tour in Est Europa toccando paesi come Germania, Serbia, Croazia, Polonia, Ungheria e Bosnia. Nel 2014 si aggiudicano l’edizione laziale di Arezzo Wave. Nell’estate del 2014 passano quindici giorni in Sicilia, alle pendici dell’Etna, dove, nell’atmosfera intima di un casolare e con partecipazione di musicisti provenienti da diverse realtà musicali, danno vita a “Breaking Sound”, il loro primo full-length, che esce il 15 Aprile 2015 per la romana Gas Vintage Records. All’uscita del disco segue il “Breaking Sound European Tour 2015” che in Giugno porta i BMC in Italia, Svizzera, Francia e Lussemburgo. In Novembre registrano presso Locanda Atlantide a Roma un live, documentato da un videoclip del brano “What do you think?” e da “Anachronicle”, LP che esce il 27 Aprile 2016 per Area Pirata Records. Nel Novembre 2016 pubblicano uno split in 12 pollici con i “Lame”, blues noise band di Torino, per Annibale Records, corredato da un nuovo videoclip per il singolo “Fun Fun Boogie”. Nel dicembre dello stesso anno i Big Mountain County sono di nuovo in tour tra Italia, Francia e Belgio. In Agosto 2017 saranno a Budapest sul palco dello Sziget Festival.
Big Mountain County (BMC) play wild and dirty psych rock. The group started in Rome in 2012. After touring intensively across Italy, in October 2013 they release their first 7 inches completely self-produced. In November 2013 and in April/May 2014 BMC are in tour in Eastern Europe, passing through Serbia, Croatia, Hungary and Bosnia, and in Central Europe through Germany, Poland and Czech Republic. In the summer of 2014 they start the production of their first full-length “Breaking Sound”.
After one month spent in Sicily to experience new sounds and new atmospheres in a house at the base of the “Etna” volcano, they record nine tracks at the Gas Vintage Records Studios in Rome. “Breaking Sound” is released in April 2015, followed by the “Breakings Sound European Tour 2015”, with gigs in Italy, France, Switzerland and Luxemburg. In November 2015 the band records a live in Rome documented by a music video and their second LP “Anachronicle”, out for Area Pirata Records in April 2016. In November 2016 BMC release a 12” split with
“Lame” (Torino, Italy), out for Annibale Records (Firenze, Italy), followed by gigs in Italy, France and Belgium.
