On Tuesday, Los Angeles detectives said they're investigating a woman's claim that Oscar-winning director Roman Polanski molested her in 1975.
At the time of the alleged assault the unnamed woman was 10 years old.
However, the statute of limitations has long expired, so criminal charges cannot be brought even if proven.
