You Can Now Follow Hashtags on Instagram Instagram just rolled out a new feature that allows users to follow hashtags. Search for a topic, or click on a hashtag in an Instagram post, bringing up a new page to follow it. You'll see both top posts and recent stories from the hashtag in your feed and you can unfollow anytime. The Verge reports that Matthew Ogle — the man behind the Discover Weekly playlist at Spotify — was behind the new Instagram hashtag feature. Important note: Hashtags you follow are visible to anyone on Instagram who checks out your profile.
