Senior politician Sharad Yadav in an EXCLUSIVE interview with Oneindia claimed political vendetta behind his Rajya Sabha membership disqualification on December 4, 2017. Yadav accused Nitish Kumar and the Modi-led BJP Government of destroying the country's democratic structure. When asked what possibly could be the reason that his disqualification was decided within just three months, and his requests for more advocates was also rejected by Rajya Sabha Chairman Venkaiyah Naidu, he said, it's because he raised his voice against those who broke promises made to the people that now he has to face this, had he followed the same as others, he would have been enjoying his political career peacefully.,,He further added that he is not concerned about losing any political position, as he had previously rendered his resignation twice in the Lok Sabha. He said, this fight that he is fighting now, is for saving the country and the people.,,Commenting on Mani Shankar Aiyar's "neech comment" on PM Modi, and whether such speech can be allowed, Yadav said, "His Congress membership has been suspended, what more does Modi expect, throw him out of the country now,?" Speaking on the Gujarat Model of Development, and the ongoing Gujarat elections, he said, "There has been no development in Gujarat. The Modi government is winning on fake promises and nothing else. This time the people of Gujarat will throw them out of power," The only way to save the country is to vote BJP out of power, Sharad Yadav concluded.
