YouTube Will Launch Music Subscription Service in March 2018 Alphabet Inc. wants to challenge its rivals Apple Music and Spotify by releasing its own paid music service on YouTube next Spring. People familiar with the matter said Alphabet Inc. is in talks with Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment, and Universal Music Group. The service is being referred to internally as 'Remix' and would feature on-demand streaming like Spotify.
