An unusually high tide at Manly Beach attracted crowds and emergency services on Wednesday, December 6, after powerful waves forced the closure of a number of north shore beaches, the Manly Daily reported.According to the ABC a supermoon caused Sydney Harbour to spill over, with the king tide reaching 2.03 metres earlier in the week.
