Makeup tips for a camera-ready look

We’re collaborating with Lancôme and Galeries Lafayette Jakarta to give our journalist Liza Yosephine a makeover to enhance her look in front of the camera. Taking place at Jakarta’s most sophisticated shopping center, Galeries Lafayette, the tutorial was performed by Lancôme’s education manager Patricia Katio, who added some fresher nuances to Liza's style.

Applying makeup for a camera-ready look can be tricky. Patricia explained that the look should be very basic and reveal an almost bare-skin finish to give a natural appearance that is not too shiny and not too matte.

The secret is to focus on areas that look red and cover them with a base of liquid foundation, followed by Lancôme’s Cushion Compact Foundation. Use it by tapping to give better coverage. The next step is concealer and bronzer for contouring, then blush, mascara and brow work. Patricia gave the finishing touch to Liza's new style by applying L'absolu Rouge Definition Lipstick in red.
