Targets for Asean Integration in 2015 still not met

According to a score card developed by Ernst And Young (EY) advisory services, only two-thirds of the targets set for the integration of the Asean economic region by 2015 have been achieved.

EY said, this is not surprising given the economic diversity and varying growth maturity in each of the member countries of Asean.

It also observed that national and local priorities supersede regional initiatives, obscuring wider goals while macro problems also persist.
