A hawk that was pulled from the grill of a car is now at a rehabilitation facility recovering from the ordeal, reports UPI.

The incident that landed the bird in its unfortunate state occurred on Sunday.
KABC notes that a driver headed down a California freeway struck the animal and soon after pulled over to assess the vehicle's damage.
It's unclear how the car fared, but the hawk was hopelessly stuck and required the assistance of the County of Los Angeles Department of Animal Care and Control.
An officer with the department freed the bird and discovered the creature had suffered a broken leg.
It is recuperating at the South Bay Wildlife Rehab in Rancho Palos Verdes and is expected to be back out in the wild and soaring through the skies in 4 to 6 weeks.
