BJP MP's arrest sparks off violent clashes in Mysuru, "religion first," says Simha | Oneindia News

Violent clashes were witnessed in Mysuru on Sunday after the rural police arrested BJP MP and Yuva morcha chief Pratap Simha. His supporters resorted to stone pelting and even assaulted policemen on duty after Pratap Simha was arrested when he was enroute to take part in a Hanuman Jayanti celebration rally in Hunsur. A day after his arrest, Pratap Simha was released. The BJP MP took to twitter to state that protecting his religion and tradition came above his political career. Simha was arrested on Sunday at Bilikere by the Mysuru rural police after he attempted to breach police barricade.
