In a shocking video, an AIADMK MLA identified as Kanakaraj was caught on camera distributing money and liquor to the party cardres. The MLA was also heard telling the carder that people would be taken to a public address and given food and water and will be allowed to leave the venue only after the 'minister' leaves. The Sulur MLA is seen in the video purportedly distributing money and liquor to cadres ahead of the MG Ramachandran birth centenary celebrations. The MLA brazened it out when asked about the video and maintained that all political parties paid their cadres for events.
