Akshay Kumar's independence day 2018 release film Gold is set to clash with Rajinikanth, Huma Qureshi starrer Kaala. Film Gold revolves around India’s first ever gold medal win in the Olympics, which came at the 1948 London Olympics and in this film Akshay Kumar will be seen as Balbir Singh. On the other side Rajinikanth has completed the shooting of his film Kaala and according to sources Rajinikanth is also going to release this film on Independence day 2018.
