Trump Encourages People To Consider Suing ABC News Over Erroneous Flynn Report

President Trump on Sunday said that those impacted by ABC News' Flynn story should consider suing the network.

President Trump tweeted on Sunday that people should consider suing ABC news over the erroneous Michael Flynn report.
"People who lost money when the Stock Market went down 350 points based on the False and Dishonest reporting of Brian Ross of @ABC News (he has been suspended), should consider hiring a lawyer and suing ABC for the damages this bad reporting has caused - many millions of dollars!" Trump wrote in his tweet.
AS CNN notes, "citing a single anonymous source, Ross told viewers during an ABC special report on Friday morning that Flynn was prepared to testify that Donald Trump, as a candidate for president, told him to contact Russians."
But in a segment hours later, Ross shared that the source had clarified that Trump had done so as president-elect and not as a candidate.
Following widespread criticism over the correction, ABC News suspended Ross for four weeks without pay.
"We deeply regret and apologize for the serious error we made yesterday. The reporting conveyed by Brian Ross during the special report had not been fully vetted through our editorial standards process," ABC News said in a statement. "As a result of our continued reporting over the next several hours ultimately we determined the information was wrong and we corrected the mistake on air and online."
