यूपी निकाय चुनवों में बीजेपी ने अपनी जीत का परचम लहरा दिया है। पीएम मोदी के संसदीय क्षेत्र बनारस में भाजपा की मृदुला जायसवाल ने नगर निकाय चुनाव के मेयर पद पर अपना कब्जा बरकरार रखा है । बनारस में भाजपा की लगातार पांचवीं जीत है। भाजपा प्रत्याशी मृदुला जायसवाल ने 78843 वोटों से जीत दर्ज की। कुल मिलाकर इस बार प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी के संसदीय क्षेत्र बनारस में जहां भाजपा को 15 सीटों का फायदा हुआ वहीं कांग्रेस ने भी 4 सीटों पर अपनी बढ़त बनाई। सबसे बुरी दशा सपा की रही जिसे 21 सीटों का नुकसान हुआ, जिसका ठीकरा प्रदेश नेतृत्व के सिर फोड़ा जा रहा है।
