U.S House minority leader Nancy Pelosi called on Democratic Representative John Conyers to resign on thursday due to mounting allegations of sexual misconduct. Pelosi said to reporters, “The brave women who came forward are owed justice, Congress Conyers should resign.” Conyers who is 88 years old returned to Detroit, Michigan on Tuesday and has since been hospitalized. Local media, citing a family spokesman has said that his ailments were stress related. Conyers has already stepped down as the senior Democrat on the House Judiciary Committee, but has resisted calls to resign from the house entirely.
