BuzzFeed to lay off 100 employees
The Hollywood Reporter confirmed that BuzzFeed is reorganizing it's business team and laying off 100 of its employees. President Greg Coleman will also be changing his position to senior advisor. Cuts to BuzzFeed's editorial and business teams will be made in the U.K., too. The company restructuring comes at a time when BuzzFeed plans to change new revenue streams and transitioning from display advertising to programmatic. BuzsFeed Studios is also in the works, and the motion picture division has plans to create films and TV shows.
