Longtime 'Today' show host Matt Lauer has been fired Today's co-anchor Savannah Guthrie announced the news Wednesday. NBC News Chairman Andrew Lack told employees in a memo that the complaint, which was made by a colleague of Lauer's, prompted a serious review and represented a "clear violation of our company's standards." Lack added that while this was the first complaint about his behavior in the over twenty years he’s been at NBC News, Lauer had been a co-anchor of Today since 1997, and was the highest-paid person at NBC News.
