Prince Harry proposes to Megan Markle

On Monday morning Kensington Palace announced that Prince Harry proposed to his American actress girlfriend Meghan Markle. The pair who have been dating since 2016 only made their first public appearance in September this year. Only the Queen and "other close members of his family" initially knew of the engagement, which took place in London.
