3 UN peacekeepers and 1 Malian Soldier Killed in Timbuktu, Mali Attack

Three UN peacekeepers and one Malian soldier were killed in an attack in Mali, the UN mission there said Friday. The members of the UN Security Council called on the Mali government to investigate the attack and bring the perpetrators to justice. Mali, and in particular the Timbuktu region, is one of the world's deadliest postings for UN peacekeepers.
